Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) may finally have some reason to be elated about. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has removed the suspension imposed on the cricketing body paving way for the international matches to be played in Jaipur once again. However, the BCCI, has removed the ban based on certain conditions. There has been speculation that one of the conditions imposed has been that Lalit Modi should not have anything to do with RCA at anytime in the future.RCA President, Dr. CP Joshi, while speaking with India Today, maintained that he is yet to receive the conditions imposed by BCCI, while removing the suspension on RCA.”We have not received any conditions. Officially, we are waiting for the conditions (imposed by the BCCI). To my office (it has been officially communicated)… the system is that BCCI has principally decided to remove it. Then, it goes to the legal department . These conditions are drafted by legal department of BCCI. I said unless and until I receive the condition, I won’t be able to comment over this (on whether the BCCI does not want Lalit Modi to have anything to do with RCA in future). Because, see whatever I leaned, that BCCI has removed the suspension with certain conditions. What are those conditions, unless and until I go through the conditions, I won’t able to comment about anything.” Dr. Joshi said. There has been no international or IPL cricket matches in Rajasthan since after 2013. The BCCI, unhappy with Lalit Modi’s then association with the RCA, had imposed the suspension on the body which had led to the game of cricket in the region witnessing a lull.advertisementThe RCA President does feel that the game of cricket will improve in Rajasthan after the suspension has been removed. “Naturally (things will look upwards for cricket in Rajasthan) because unless and until you have recognition of BCCI, entire cricket is suffering in Rajasthan.Immediate plan is to get the conditions received from the BCCI and accordingly, we will act. So, we are waiting for the final conditions what has been imposed.” The RCA President mentioned to India Today.
