Dallas PayneDallas Christopher Payne, of Wellington, age 35, died on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.He was born on October 4, 1979, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the son of Howard Fredrick Payne Jr. and Theresa Ann Johnson.On October 1, 2012, he married Nicole RenÃ©e McEachern in Hondo, Texas, and she survives.Â Dallas loved life and spending time with his kids, wife, and family.Â He enjoyed attending his kidsâ€™ sports events, coaching football and wrestling, the Texas Longhorns, spending time outdoors and on the Frio River, barbecuing, bonfires, big trucks, Cajun food, Lonestar Light, all types of music, and was an avid pit bull lover.He was preceded in death by his father, Howard â€œHunkieâ€ Payne, his grandparents, Armand and Bernice Johnson and Howard Sr. and Johnnie Payne, his aunts, Bobbie Colomb and Karen Johnson, and his nephew, Jaxon LeRoy McEachern.In addition to his wife, surviving are their children: Austin Mathew, Bayley LaRae, Jakob Ruben, Riley James, and Taylor Dawn, his mother Theresa Johnson, his siblings: Tammy Jean Payne, Sharra (Andy) Cantu, Kayla Renee Payne, and Clay (Lauren) Voss, John Dean McEachern, Katie McEachern, Jarrod McEachern and Sarah McEachern; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and one favorite cousin, and aunts and uncles and many good friends. Geraldine Ruth Adkins, age 86, of Wellington, died on January 14, 2016, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.Â She was a homemaker and had been a dental assistant for many years.Gerry AdkinsGeraldine was born on June 23, 1929 in Herington, Kans. to Harold H. Rindt and Leona Katherine (Stover) Rindt.Â She was a graduate of Herington High School with the Class of 1947.Gerry married Donald F. Adkins on October 2, 1949 in Herington, KS.Â Don preceded her in death on May 13, 2001.Gerry was a charter member of the Dorcas Society of Calvary Lutheran Church.Â She was a great supporter of Wellington athletics when her grandchildren or great grandchildren were participating.Â She was known as â€œMammawâ€, not only to her grandkids and great grandkids and all of their friends, but to 49 foster grandchildren as well.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; one brother, Ronald F.
